I don't know if you've ever been stuck in a satellite without toilet paper, but I was never so happy that someone would answer the phone...I was beginning to consider which article of clothing I was going to have to sacrifice... all I had was my cell phone and two people whose numbers I knew!

I saw this guy when we arrived and he was sort of checking people out. Then he came our direction. I think he was probably checking for the most empathetic people - which I guess was us (the three girls).
He told us that his name is J.J...which I doubt, but he was harmless, really enjoyed coffee with maple syrup in it and was actually quite gentle. After we broke camp and drove away, I thought about a family and other loved ones who might care about knowing where J.J. is today: whether he's all right. I wondered if there was somewhere that I might call to let them know we had seen this man and that he was okay.
I reflected on the fact that we were supposed to have VIP camping and access, but here this guy was - none of us is that different - we were just the ones with money in our pockets and food in our cooler.
